Frente al mundo es el cuarto larga duración álbum de estudio por el sueco de death metal banda de Amon Amarth , publicado el 18 de noviembre de 2002 por Metal Blade Records . También se lanzó con un disco adicional que presenta el EP Sorrow Through the Nine Worlds , así como sus dos demos; Thor Arise , The Arrival of the Fimbul Winter (el primero inédito antes) y unaversión alemana de "Victorious March" titulada "Siegreicher Marsch" que estaba en Once Sent from the Golden Hall . La canción "Death in Fire" se convirtió en un video musical .Versus the World fue el primer álbum de Amon Amarth en mostrar un sonido más mediano y pesado, a diferencia de sus anteriores trabajos más rápidos. Una edición de lujo fue lanzada en 2009 que presentó el álbum remasterizado por Jens Bogren , y un CD extra del álbum original tocado en vivo en su totalidad en Bochum, Alemania.
Cuando se le pidió que comentara sobre el álbum, el vocalista Johan Hegg comentó:
" Este es el álbum más oscuro, pesado y melancólico que hemos hecho y el ambiente se puede sentir a través de todo el álbum. Diría que es el álbum más parejo que hemos hecho hasta ahora y que el concepto puede ser reconocido en todas las canciones. "
